      Simon Roberts was commissioned as the official election artist by the UK Parliament in 2010 to provide an historic visual record of the General Election. Alongside the final exhibition he published a newspaper containing all 25 artworks, a selection of images submitted by the public and three commissioned essays.

Roberts’ national survey was informed by the photography of his predecessors and by the romantic tradition of English landscape painting.
